13 Week Ultrasounds!!

I went to the doctor today, and these are the ultrasound pictures this time. She did some 3D ones, which are very cool! Looks like our little one is praying in the first one. :) He/she seems to be always moving so much when I get the ultrasounds done. Hope this isn't telling me something! The last picture looks like the ultrasound picture done of Landon when he was around the same gestational age.

Mid October Update

We went down to Garmisch, Germany (ski resort town) two Sundays ago for Justin's dental conference. It is so pretty down there. They definitely see more of the sun than we do! With the leaves changing in the mountains it was absolutely gorgeous. One day Landon and I and a friend went to take a walk on the nearby trail and were greeted by cows! Landon loved it!

One of the highlights of our time there was the Bavarian Night that was planned. I found Landon some lederhosen at a children's second hand store, and I was able to find a dirndl (the traditional German dress) for myself. I wanted to get Justin some lederhosen as well, but he was not amused. :) So, half our family was German that night! Landon loooovvveed dancing!

Another highlight was going to the top of the tallest mountain there (still only about 6,000 ft though) called the Zugspitze. More of God's gorgeous beauty!

After Garmisch, we went about 5 hours south to Bled, Slovenia (former Yugoslavia). It was absolutely gorgeous there as well with an ancient church on an island in the middle of the lake and a fortress high up on a hill to be viewed from most areas there. It was pretty inexpensive there to our surprise, so we were happy about that. Bled is quite the touristy town being that it is close to the Italian and Austrian borders. Seemed like everyone spoke English there. While we were strolling around the lake, we stopped so Landon could feed the ducks. A girl came up to us because she noticed that Justin had an old mission trip shirt on and asked if we were missionaries. Came to find out that they were missionaries and were having a church picnic there. We talked with them the rest of the afternoon and had a good time getting to know them. The Day of the Dead (holiday in a lot of European countries) is coming up soon so they were talking to the youth about death and what happens when you die. It was really neat seeing one girl's husband who is Slovenian (went to Colombia Bible College) talk with the youth and really get them to think. It is cool to see how God is working in Slovenia, a country that many people know nothing about. Please be praying for these missionaries and their families.

Well, my next post will be our last and up-to-date ultrasound picture that we had this past Tuesday. Our little "gummy bear" looks now more like a baby. :)

October Update

Sorry about the confusing September update. We sent it with a power point instead and some of you were not able to look at our exciting news. Some thought I was talking about this blog, which I could see would be confusing since I had a link for it on the email as well as the powerpoint. But, yes... We are pregnant! I am 9 weeks pregnant now, and we are obviously excited. I just got this ultrasound done last week. We officially have a little gummy bear! When asked if he wants a baby brother or baby sister, Landon says, "Baby Sisser." :)

Justin went to Expert Field Medical Badge Training to try to get the highly coveted Expert Field Medical Badge. He was gone for 10 days and he ended up passing! We were very proud of him. We took pictures at the graduation/pinning by a 3 star general!

Other than that, not much has been going on here. Winter, I mean Fall, has hit with some pretty cool and windy weather. Justin took some pictures of Landon playing outside in it yesterday. Landon decided he was going to organize nature items onto the basketball court.

We are about to go to Garmisch, Germany (leave tomorrow) for Justin's Dental Conference for a week and then we will go down to Slovenia (former Yugoslavia) after that. Slovenia is supposed to be a beautiful place. We will post pictures when we get back. Tschuss!
