Gruss Gott (the Bavarians way of saying hello, lit. meaning "Greet God") from Germany! We have had a busy month! Justin's best friend Tristan and his wife Shannon came to visit us on their way to move to Turkey with their 3 boys at the end of July. We had a great time with them. We took the train (which all the boys loved!) and showed them around Nurnberg, went to a little town called Kemnath near us for their 1,000 year anniversary, and just hung out around our neck of the woods as well.

August 12th was Landon's 2nd birthday. We had a "Disney Cars" themed birthday. He was so cute whenever we went shopping and saw something with Cars he would say, "Cars birthday!" since I told him that we would do Cars for his big day. There was a scare that Justin might not be able to be here for Landon't birthday due to a need for him to go to the field to support another unit, but God worked it out that he was able to be here. We were going to have it outside, but the weather did not cooperate. He had a great day though, and he loves to tell us he is 2 now!
